Scamp
Meet Scamp, a year-old terrier/shepherd-mix.
This cute little guy landed on death row at a very high kill shelter here in Southern California because he was so fearful. Lucky Pup Dog Rescue in San Diego rescued him, knowing he had so much potential. Since then, Scamp, who weighs in at just under 25 pounds, has been working with a trainer and successfully overcoming his shyness. Once he meets you, in a quiet calm way… there is no stopping his devotion! He likes a routine, and has been in a foster home for the past several months. The family even has a 4-year-old kid that Scamp just adores. He even gets along with cats. He’s potty-trained, and walks great on a leash. He’s good with other dogs and even cats.
He would do best in a home with a yard, with someone who has the time to spend with him; he’s only about a year old and wouldn’t do well being left for many hours alone. His foster mommy has been taking him to work with her most days.
He’s already been neutered, housetrained, up-to-date with shots, wormed, treated flea meds and received a microchip.
Lucky Pup Dog Rescue in San Diego requires a home check, application and minimum donation of two hundred dollars. Christine Haslet 858-945-8341 for more information or go to the Lucky Pup website: http://www.luckypupdogrescue.com.
